I recently used the Great American BBQ Company to cater my wedding at an off site location. Every single aspect was perfect, from the planning, to the prep, the set up, the staff, the service, the food and the cleanup...it was all better than I ever could have imagined. We used The Great American BBQ as our caterers for our rehearsal dinner. They have a great catering menu and were really helpful in planning how much food we needed. They delivered to our venue, everything was delivered wonderfully and the food was SO GOOD! Our guests complimented us over and over about the food! They were so easy to work with and we highly recommend!

Boyfriend and I tried the pop-up Barbecue restaurant and ordered the sampler with a side of sweet potato fries. When we first walked in, the outdoor tent was completely empty even though the 'Barbecue Open' sign was turned on. We were a bit confused so we made our way into Sam's of Gedney Way and Peter (who we later found out was the owner) explained due to the summer heat and humidity they brought the pop-up Barbecue seating indoors. This was great since it started to poor shortly after we arrived. Service was great and everyone was very friendly. Pulled pork and chicken breast were my favorite. The sweet potato fries were awesome, very light and crispy. Portions were perfect for two. Bill came out to under $50 including a few beers. Will definitely be returning before the pop-up restaurant ends in the fall!

Great American BBQ catered our rehearsal dinner in August 2013. They made our party of approximately 100 guests a success. From the start, our sales/event coordinator, Natasha, was responsive, professional, and was always aware of our budget constraints. She independently coordinated with our florist whenever necessary.

During the day of the rehearsal dinner, we ran into some unexpected trouble when the coach bus transporting our guests got into a car accident. Natasha and the rest of the staff handled the situation professionally and efficiently. By the time the guests finally arrived, hot food was served as scheduled. They also offered to extend the party an extra 30 minutes. Additionally, the head waiter (captain) made sure that my wife and I approved of the set up. As we had a lot of mingling to do, she made sure our stomachs were full and our thirsts were quenched.

The food was also quite good. I generally have high standards when it comes to food, particularly BBQ, but GABBQ did a great job. The grilled chicken was moist, the salmon was flavorful, and the ribs were tender. The buttered biscuits were also a big hit.

I recommend Great American BBQ without reservations.

We had our first ever catered event last year for my daughters graduation party. It was around 70 people - with about another 15 of her friends coming in the evening once many of the adults had left. We used The Great American BBQ, and I may never have another un-catered event again. It was the easiest party I've ever hosted - they took care of everything- and the food was amazing and totally customizable. You can also provide some of your own food (eg a deserts, or a side that only grandma makes the best) and they will serve it with theirs. We went with a pig roast option which was a great and fun spectacle, as well as delicious. They price based on the number of guests, but are very generous with their portioning and we had tons of leftovers. Their very helpful team set up, looked after our guests, cooked on premises (they set up in our back yard and driveway) and cleaned up before they left. It was a wonderful experience - we received a ton of compliments on their behalf - and worth every penny. They have different pricing options to chose from so you don't need to sell your shirt if you don't want to. I couldn't recommend them more and will definitely use them again.
