Cuban-Style Pig Roast
A pig roast or hog roast is an event which involves the barbecuing of a whole hog. Pig roasts in the mainland American Deep South are often referred to as a pig pickin’. Different styles of cooking a hog are practiced in the States throughout the Midwest and Southern States. We at the GABBQ will feature a method commonly practiced in Cuba and South America, known as the “Cuba Box” method of roasting. We highlight and honor a long standing tradition unknown to most American BBQ aficionados. This fun interactive station allows groups to gather at the table with the roasted hog, choose different sauces, and make for a gathering to never be forgotten.
How We Do It:
We roast it “Cuban Style” at your home or business. The entire process will take approximately 4-5 hours for the pig to roast and be ready for service. We brine our hogs, dry rub for 24 hours, and then seal the inside with fresh fruits, garden herbs, onions and peppers. The box is heated with hot coals for the entire
